Given how many clubs seem to come and go over the years it *is* pretty impressive that KCC has endured.

Adam...a few weeks ago I snapped a speedplay cleat and BP was the closest shop...so I pedaled about 3 miles on one leg to get there.   While in there the guy I suspected of being the owner came across like a cheesy car salesman who was pretty curt with the younger employees...He also started shit talking Brickwell cycles (a former sponsor).  I just wanted to buy some cleats, install them and get the hell out of there.  Then I heard an audacious sales pitch...."we offer a comprehensive overhaul that includes cleaning your drivetrain with an ultrasonic machine for $400"...the guy with the 20 year old Trek hybrid promptly closed his eyes thanked the salesman and left the store....  that being said....I'm glad the shop pulled the plug.  I think they did the right thing on that front.  I'de love to know who the guys were that bought the fakey Pinarellos.

Wow, a $400 drivetrain cleaning (supersonic no less)!  That ought to be good for at least an extra 2 watts.  Can't believe he actually said that.  Btw, Loehner, Tom C, Gregg L, and George are all riding those Chinarellos, as are a few others. 

Well...penny wise and dollar stupid on that front.  BP has some awesome brands...those guys could have gotten some sweet frames basically at cost + kit + crca fees paid.  Cheap, cheeky and douchey move.

Checked out the caad 10s yesterday. Not sure they quite do it for me in the inspiration dept. in stock form. This is without a test ride though so maybe the performance is key here.

if you are in pain, go to acme.  i feel a lot better on the bike since going there in april, despite majorly upping my weekly mileage since that time.  i learned that only gumby or people with medical staff should slam their stems.

Jonathan is a super nice guy and spent a couple of hours with me getting my fit dialed in, and then more time once I built my bike and brought it back to him.  I gave him a list of bikes I was considering and he eliminated those brands/models that wouldn't work for me, and gave me a list of those that would, including what size stem I'd need for each, along with my fit measurements for future bikes.  I recommend him.  If you haven't had one done yet, consider going before race season.  And consider getting refit if it's been a while.
