Rats!! Dropped a lot of coin at Signature Cycles last spring. It would of been nice to get this deal. I have to say a good fit is worth every penny if you ride and race a lot. I hope to take advantage of this sponsorship in the future.

Thanks Ryan

Hey Ryan/Craig...saw this on FB: Challenge Tires sponsorship opportunities!

The Ritchey deal is back. Similar discounts, but we no longer do online. Rather, we order through Ride Brooklyn. You can shop at either store, or call them to place orders. If possible, it's best to talk to Al Barouh, but you should be able to place phone orders with any employee at either store.

I'll get this in for us as my last act as Sponsorship Director. Then, it's all Zolan, baby!
i'm excited!  thanks ryan!
Sponsor stickers?
IN.

85% kidding.

Thanks Ryan and welcome Craig Z! So here's something I was thinking about. I realize that very few of our sponsors are probably in place for 2014, but it is helpful to know, for example...

Ryan's working on Challenge tires...so maybe I'll hold off a bit on getting new rubber until we find out more...

Any other hot tips/previews like that?

Also, I may have been too busy stuffing my face with little meatballs to notice, but, if memory serves, 2 of the 3 free bike fits were allocated at the party. Whassss-up with #3? (And please don't tell me that Ragot gets one for being Time's Man of the Year.)
@Marc. You must have been choking on a meatball at the time because all 3 fits were given out. Kayt, Ros & Phil are the lucky recipients. Most of the sponsorships that we've had are multi year deals so Cdale, Ride, ChampSys carry over. There is one more partnership that is to be announced, but it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone following the message boards. I'll let Ryan take the honor of announcing it if he wants since he put it together. If people have ideas or thoughts about categories that we should look into, feel free to message or email me. The obvious categories are nutrition, power, components, and rubber and we are looking in to all of them.
I'd like to thank @Ryan for his work with the sponsors this year (I'm not sure how long he was doing this).  Great work and much appreciated.

And Craig, I'm looking forward to your taking the helm!

Happy new year to all!
@Marc

Regarding the timing of sponsorships; in the past we've had problems because sponsorships weren't finalized early enough in the prior year (2013 for 2014) and that left us with two huge problems:

1) if we don't start until January we don't have enough time to change the kit in time for an early spring order
2) if we don't start until January the sponsors dollars (or in kind) budgets are already set for the year and we don't have a seat at the table.

Generally speaking we aim to have most if not all of our sponsorships sewed up by November of the prior year to avoid both of these problems, and to get multi-year deals.

@Ryan did an amazing job at both lining up our 2014 sponsorships on time and getting ALL of our deals formalized in writing.  Huge props.
Alright, let's cut the bullshit. When's the Osmo deal coming through? I'm running low on powdery stuff.

Thanks for the update all. I agree Ryan did an amazing job and I look forward to Craig's reign as King of Swag.

P.S. Someone check on Vlad and make sure no powdery stuff is going up his nose, 'kay?
Without further ado.

We have entered into a partnership with OSMO Nutrition for 2014. All members will be able to order their nutrition products at 50% off. In addition, we'll have water bottles for Cats 1-3 and the ability for anyone to order bottles for $1.50 each. There will be other goodies from time to time.

Please visit OSMO (www.osmonutrition.com) to see their line of preload hydration, active hydration, and acute recovery products for men and women.

Also, please like OSMO on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/osmonutrition) and follow their twitter feed @osmonutrition

We'll open up the first group order in a couple of weeks. We just received access and are working through a few remaining issues.

HOT DAMN!

Don't make them read the whole diatribe. Take home message:

Beer Recovery Drink:
12 oz Guinness Extra Stout (or other stout), icy cold
4 oz  cold, sweetened  vanilla almond milk (optional)
1.5 scoops  OSMO Acute Recovery (men’s or women’s)
-Mixed (don’t shake!) and drink!    (250 calories, 23g carb, 20g protein)
Back in the day when I lived in LA I used to drink an MGD in the bathtub with a cigarette and call it my recovery ritual.
Also worth noting that JP deserves big credit for helping the Osmo thing happen. He met their rep at interbike and got them interested.
I still mainline bulleit while snorting angel dust before most rides.
Happy New Year! Is anyone else getting redirected from the "product" link to the Osmo blog?

yes.  when i click products i end up at http://osmonutrition.com/dealers/stage21-bikes/
For Products try this: http://osmonutrition.com/store/products.html?products=active_hydration
you can then navigate with the sub menus to preload and recover.

There are a bunch of videos on the science behind the products here: http://osmonutrition.com/science/

In addition, OSMO has offered to have a conference call with our women's team to go over the nutritional differences between their men's and women's products and the nutritional requirements of women (as distinct from men). I'll put up a poll soon so that we can figure out times that work best for the group. I'll cross post to the women's thread.

It probably will be with Lisa Hunt, who used to live and race in NYC and also ran a women's pro team for a bunch of years.  She's great people.

I'd be interested in hearing the info they have to share. Maybe they have a PowerPoint presentation they can zip on over for our education?

Marc, read above. There are a half dozen videos for you... I mean, PowerPoint?!? What is this 1998 again? http://osmonutrition.com/science/

doh...yeah...woops.
I'll be updating and posting the current sponsorship deal document later this week, but wanted to apprise everyone that Neuvation has closed. Here is the announcement from the web site and his email newsletter:

Neuvation Cycling has shut its doors.  I am not at liberty to discuss the details but do plan on opening up another wheel business by early spring.  At that time, all the elements willing, I will be able to honor warranties and wheel protection plans from Neuvation Cycling.

If you are in need of a Neuvation specific part in the mean time, please feel free to contact me at JohnNeugent@aol.com  and I will do whatever I can to help out.

Any orders placed after Friday, Dec ember 20th have not been processed nor the credit cards run.  All attempts have been made to get any warranties completed and I am not aware of any credits due customers

It’s been a lot of fun and I expect to be back up to full steam in the early spring.  I will be doing occasional newsletters just to stay in touch.

I fully expect to get literally hundreds of e-mails in response to this announcement (I have lots of truly great customers) so please be a little bit patient if it takes a few days to get back to you.  I am personally doing great and really looking forward to 2014 and lots of new opportunities.

Thanks very much for all of your support – John Neugent

Man, do I have a knack for missing out on sponsor deals...first PowerTap, now Neuvation. #slowcooker
I'm glad I did not wait getting my Powertap from him last month.
probably more warranties vs sales.....had my own expierence....
