maybe we could look to Boyd Wheels as a new sponsor to fill the void.......

Perhaps a little premature if he will be up and running in 'early spring'
We should give him a chance to get going again.
I'de rather deal with John Neugent...his wheels were never more than they promised to be...good for the money.  I had warranty issues that were always addressed quickly.  For cheap race and training wheels they were hard to beat...especially in the green on dots competitions...Ooo double entendre !

I have schedule a bike fit at ACME for next Wednesday.  Consider your cycling ambitions eviscerated.  It's not even fair...it's like fishing with dynamite.
Cross posting about the OSMO nutrition conference call. I've posted a poll asking for feedback on which days next week (Mon & Weds) work for the group. The call was going to center on the distinct women's products but if the interest is equal among genders, I'll ask them to describe benefits and differences of both.

If next week isn't feasible for the majority of the group I can set something up for later (Feb / Mar for instance).
Craig, expanding the conversation to both lines of products would be great. I'm interested in getting down to the nitty gritty details about the differences between the men's and women's products and how they both differ from similar (but non-gender specific) recovery products I've contemplated purchasing. I'm sure that info would be beneficial to the guys too.
@Erika - I added men to the agenda so it'll be a comprehensive OSMO product overview.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format not-found
I'll make sure to get that fixed a little bit later tonight once I'm home.
Hey Craig, when I click on the Sponsorship Opportunities link over on the left, I get a "Nothing Here" message. Has the link changed?

(if possible, can you send me the deets on the Rudy deal? Trying to finally get my ten thousand dollar sunglasses ordered)

Gwynna Smith - here is the Rudy details. The new document is just awaiting to be linked up to the site.

RUDY PROJECT

What you can get: 40% discount off products at e-rudy.com (discounts do not apply to closeouts and/or promotions – though see below on current bonus discount on closeouts)

How you can get it:

Go to:  www.e-rudy.com/vip - Enter BRO code: kissena

*An additional 10% discount now applies to all closeout items and promotions.

New Sponsorship Opportunities document posted to the link on the left, just under the tweets box. No real changes other than to add the previously announced OSMO deal and remove Neuvation.
The OSMO nutrition order is open. Details are posted in the OSMO nutrition thread.
This would be a good time to remind everybody that the Acme 10% discount is good through end of the month.  Not sure if there will be other discount periods throughout the year...

This will go into the Sponsorship Opportunities document embedded on the main page soon, but, for now here's how you book with ACME:

There is a booking service linked to their website. Here's a direct link: http://acmebicycleco.setster.com/

Book as the system prompts. It requests a 50% deposit to confirm the appointment, and they will honor the 10% discount as part of the final payment.

...this applies to 2014 members...

Hint, hint...

Speaking of ACME, I had my bike fit with Jon a few days ago. He was nothing but pro. Very smart dude and a pleasure to just be around. Also has a great space right off 4th Ave. He fit me for my new track bike and really seems to know his stuff. If you're on the fence, I definitely think it's worth it.
Reminder that the OSMO Nutrition order will close end of day on Friday. Please get your order in using the following order form: https://kissenacycling.wufoo.com/forms/osmo-order-form/

For a description of everything we can order from OSMO, with the exception of the kit, you can view it on the OSMO site at: http://osmonutrition.com/store/products.html?products=active_hydration (click on the ALL button on the top right)

Also, remember that your order won't be placed with OSMO unless your 2014 KCC dues are paid up. If you haven't paid dues for 2014 yet, you can do that here: https://kissenacycling.wufoo.com/forms/kcc-membership-2014-application-waiver/

Folks,

One of the things we offer our sponsors in return for their support is some social media love.  That means posts, tweets and photos of the goods.

So if you Ride a Cannondale, please take a picture of it/you then next time you're on the trainer and send it over, or tweet it with an @Kissenacycling mention or post it to the Kissena Facebook page.

If you can't work the social media (or can't stomach it) just email the darn photos and we'll get them up for you.

@Jules - how about instagram?  Or FB better?
Philip it doesn't matter; just tag us or let me know it's there.
@jules what about my 7 year old caad9?
Andrew - doesn't matter - your 7 year old caad9 still proudly says Cannondale. The same comment about pictures goes for pics with Rudy helmets and sunglasses featured prominently, Osmo bottles and beverage once we get them, and ChampSys kit is rather easy.

Thanks
7 years old ?  INFANCY !!!!  I've got chamois' older than that...(I actually do)  I'm waiting for the Trek sponsorship so Bertucco can roll out on his 16 year old-bonded-tube-to-tube OCLV...to put this in chronological perspective...Monica Lewinsky's dress was DNA free back then...
This is how it's done folks

How's that for your social media, sponsors?

The trash talking crown has been passed...The king is dead !  Long live the king !
What is the interest in a group buy of Power 2 Max power meters? I don't know what the discount will be or the quantity requirements as I'm still in discussions with them but would like to gauge interest. They have no budget for sponsorship due spending it all on sponsoring Movistar this year.

I've also contacted Stages but don't know if they have any interest at this point.

So if you're about to plop down your credit card on a new power meter, hold off for few days to allow me to get back to you with an update.

Hmmm...I'd be interested. Thanks for investigating this. Not to sound like a cheap-ass bike racer, but honestly the discount is going to have to be on the way steeper side to move me off picking up one of the more established brands.
Marc - understood. Just bear in mind that Stages starts at $699 for left crank arm only and Power 2 Max starts at $899 with full crankset.
Craig. Absolutely I actually have a P2M on order, (but it is taking a while since I need the new Shimano 4 hole spider model). So I admit to having a vested interest.
I am interested.  If you're evaluating different options, my #1 criteria for evaluating power meters is price.
Ooohhhh.....I have interest in EITHER...I just ordered a Stages...but have not heard back from Ride Brooklyn on the delivery date.  I would go with either meter, should we get a discount.  I suspect P2M would be more willing...Stages has a 2 month backorder
