Not only did they paste a "kick me" sign on their back," but they've handed their detractors a gross of shovels. At this point, they might as well wait a bit longer so they don't have to grovel so much.
I like how Sinyard is all "it's cool, we are good" only after the massive backlash. Unlike his other numerous cases of bullying.

What a shit brand.
I don't think it is specific to Specialized. Blame it on your species.
there is a bro hug at 2:42   a BRO HUG !!!!!

Myles, Jules, comments from behind the scenes?

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/american-cross-promoters-hit-by-usa-cycling-fee-increase
our increased fees go to fund behind the barriers but I still paid a video company to show up and film. if I had another option I would say fuck you usac.

truthfilly I dont mind the fees I mind the pointless trip to colorado to give micah a handie.

I mean get my directors credentials
@Marc I'm totally new to this, but for a race with 800 ticket paying athletes - a cash-grab of a grand or two to for USAC and Ride Clean is just a couple of bucks per head.

Putting in FOUR FLYOVERS next year like Myles is talking about will cost a heck of a lot more.

(Just kidding, he's only talking about two)
Its bullshit. We're totally being double charged

Ok. now I'm not on the street so I won't sound like a kid with turrettes as I walk down the street.

We pay way to fucking much for absolutely fucking nothing.  I pay the UCI a UCI fee because thats what we have to do.  Even though USAC works for UCI essentially we pay them too.

I was sort of ok with that, even though it felt kind of ridiculous to pay both entities for the same permit.

THEN they started getting all greedy.  Not only do we pay both for the permit, but we have to pay the 7% prize list fee, even though our prize list is less than the minimum amount for 7% prize listedness.  (Meaning, a road race on the NRC calendar with 20,000$ in prize list pays 7% of the total list.  We're under the amount  but get whacked the full 7% anyway becuase we are a UCI race..)

Then we still pay the 3$/rider insurance fee.  Meh. too high for what they give us.

Then they started getting really greedy.  Suddenly they decided that they needed a 300$ calendar fee.  Simply for nothing.  Submitting the app to the UCI.  I told them that if it really cost them 300$ for a phone call I could get them a better deal on their phone rates.  Geico or some shit.  300$.  Whack.

Then they started race clean.  Thats the "were going to give you anti doping, that costs way too much, and you are going to help pay for it, and it mostly won't go to your race, but feel good and pay for us to do OUR job, catching cheaters, just nont likely at your race.  800$.  Whack.

Then they started the sing a long.  Myles myles myles, it's been 11 years of races myles.  But now, in our infinite wisdom, we have decided that youmust come to colorado to get certified in race direction.  Even though you have been directing the races for us for a long time, now we have to get you to pay us to ensure you know what you already know. You know?  I told them to fuck the hell of and get the fuck out of town and to relax the fuck up with their bullshit fees before I cam to colorado springs ripped off their arms, shoved them down the hole where their heads used to be, and kicked them in the ass for good measure.

Becuase, when you get 10 days of vacation a year, you want to take it to hang out in ghetto ass colorado springs, with a bunch of skinny white ass dudes with bad tan lines.  Learning nothing.
Fuck that shit.
It's seriously going to cost like 1500$.  WHACK.

Oh,  Did I mention the test is completley online and open book?  Can anyone say.... webinair forum?

Then they started talking shit about even more fees.  So basically iti all goes up again this year, to do... nothing.  It brings absolutely no value to the table at all.  There is no added value in it for us.  What did behind the barriers.tv do for us this year?  nothing to my knowledge except talk about how jeremy powers wasn't going to show up.

It wouldn't be so bad if it meant that all my extra money went to some one actualy video ing the race.  But that doesn't happen.  F brooke and his "well it's fine because i'm the only person in the country that can charge a lot of money for my event because it happens during interbike" shit.  God I hope the trade show moves to florida so that we can test his theory of "racers and fans will still fly to vegas to watch the event"  #worstcourseinthecountry.   As for paul B, he feels the same way I do but has had bigger fish to fry, namely the town.  Interesting that they went to the three biggest race promoters in the country (cinci, gloucester, and cxv) for opinions, they make money hand over fist due to incredible amounts of pre reg, and frankly don't give a flying fuck if their fees go up because they rake in 100k plus a year.

those are my thoughts on this blustery thursday.

we make USAC look good.  They should be able to work with us, to ensure that people who are largely volunteers, continue to remain in the sport.  Instead of trying to piss them all off and drive them out.  Sort of like the french revolution/happy peasants thing.

Oh.  also please note if we had to pay according to what our actual prize list was, our permit fee would be hundreds of dollars less per year.

Yeah, I see the similarity. They're clearly both logos.

New research about resveratrol as a pretty powerful SIRT1 stimulating, anti-aging wonder drug — mitochondria is so weird: http://hms.harvard.edu/news/genetics/new-reversible-cause-aging-12-19-13

The guy behind it, Aussi Sinclair did this TED talk in 2011.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DekHXlnXAwk#t=828

Perhaps this should be in the professional dopers thread. Stokes, have at it...
I love an excuse to drink red wine a much as anyone, but wasn't this debunked recently?
Read the article... it's more about what stimulating SIRT-1 does... resveratrol is just one way to do it.
Back when Bunde tested positive for clomid, I did some web research on it.  resveratrol came up in the same bodybuilder/weightlifter forums as being just as good as clomid.

BTW, Ted Talks?
Macro in a few bike racing words and this isn't too far off what we do:
