Epic fail on the laundering of the kit tonight...I laundered and dried as I have many, many times before...and yet, this time, my the colors ran and imprinted themselves and on other white items in such a way that make my clean jerseys white tees filled with slashes of yellows, blues and oranges. I'm going to look terrible...

Marc, try a bleach pen on the whites. Jules recommended it to me and it works like a charm.

When selecting EDGE bib shorts (and possibly others) it allows us to choose the color of our flatlock stitching. By default, white is selected. Should we change that to navy blue or does it matter?

Good question! You MUST choose NAVY BLUE. So I need a jacket for winter riding - the only thing I've had in the past is a hand-me-down Kissena fleece jacket, which was from Chabanov so of course it was too big for lil' me. The fleece jawn feels a bit sweaty and heavy - thoughts about the best ChampSissy winter jacket?

I've got the CS Thermal jacket...extremely warm. Most winter, I get by with either a short sleeve or long sleeve base layer ONLY underneath. And I use the zipper for thermal regulation. Sometimes it's tricky to tell if I'm getting cold or wet, but you absolutely CANNOT let yourself get too sweaty on winter rides.
You could get by with layers of other CS gear, but I don't like the ability to regulate evaporative cooling as well as if I've just got one heavy jacket with a functioning zipper.

Yeah, I'm kind of a layers fanatic - I get super-duper hot and sweaty very quickly, and in winter rides I need to be able to change layers often. The thermal jacket sounds a bit on the heavy side...

So, Tito...you acknowledge the problem. You can try to layer multiple base layers and multiple jersey's and hope you don't get too sweaty. It's impossible to predict what you are going to be feeling like 1 hour into a 3 hour winter ride. You can try to under-layer, but what if the temp says 30 degrees, but it's a damp day with lots of humidity, windy 30 which feels much more like 20 degrees? I like my solution. One heavy jacket, one base layer and one working zipper. But that's just me...

I agree with Marc on this. The fewer layers the better. That makes zipper temperature regulation much more effective. Either of these two jackets will work, under nearly all practical conditions, with only a deep winter base layer, or at most the base layer plus another jersey layer.
I find that it is much more important to keep my hands, feet, and head/neck areas warm in really cold conditions. It is rarely my core that is the issue.
BTW, I use this base layer when it's really cold (bonus, it is somehow immune to BO even after two or three long rides!):

Tito - I love the Tech Fleece Jacket and the lightweight shell vest on top.....with a craft base layer i think it's warm enough for everything but the most frigid days.
when the thermometer really dips, i add an old shell from pre-K days.....but only if it's cold enough to end up with this look from last year's MLK day ride (when the weather channel forecast called for "mad shrinkage")

And double what Whitey said; warm hands, feet & neck go a LONG way - that's the chill that really makes longer rides miserable.
My 3 favorite pieces of kit for the chilly weather are (in no order):
- neck gator
- vest
- craft thermal cap

Some people are getting the "you don't have proof" for things that clearly are there, like gloves, warmers and skinsuits. Here is what Champ Sys says (essentially don't use the lefthand menu)
When ordering, you can select the items by clicking the corresponding proofs in your main order screen (see below) and you will not receive this no proof message. There is an issue with the order form displaying the message erroneously when selecting items from the left hand cascading menu. We are resolving it and it will have no effect on your order.
