There is NOT an exemption for Cat 5 racers, by the way - this comes up every year.  If you want to race, you need to upgrade.
Great news. Charlie rocks. I assume  Kissena riders will register on site?
True...I've been dropped out of the last 3 races I've entered...Poor form ?  perhaps... Or have I just been playing......wait for it....
Damn it! Was looking forward to this one but will be out of town :( Somebody photoshop me into the team photo will ya.

I'll be in SF for a wedding, so my streak of 4 consecutive 3 place finishes in this race will be coming to an end.

Have fun out there guys, race hard!

You can all rest easy about your chances - I'll be out of town too.

A bit disappointed to miss it. Enjoy, race hard and someone take pictures (as that's what I would've done after getting dropped).
5th year on the club and I've never raced a club champs. Will this be the year?
I'll be up in Gloucester for CX. Have fun!

+1 on being at Gloucester. Shame I was looking forward to this event. But nothing can keep me from Gloucester this year.
The Cat 4s might actually have a chance this year.. ;-)
Yes....cat IV's...come on in...the waters fine...

Chris, I'm confused.  Are you the seal and the clubber represents cat 4s?  Because it makes sense that way since seals like water.  Otherwise your sentence should be structured,"...come on out, the iceberg is fine..." because the clubber would need to lure the seal out of the water to club it to death.

Either way I'm calling PETA on your ass.
I'm out of town.

This things wide open, looks like. Show up and claim your podium.
Yang's your just gonna have to come out and play on the 28th to find out the true meaning of said j-peg

The smart money is on Vlad....he's been "Sleep Doping".
This is all BS to me.  After GMSR which finished 17 days ago, I have ridden my bicycle 2 times.  Neither time exceeding 14.8mph.  Who the fuck wants to race bikes now.  This time of year is for a) sleeping in on weekends b) drinking, which leads to sleeping in on weekends c) That rare feeling that you have when you are not perpetually hungry and not perpetually with achey legs. Two weeks from now I will probably have forgotten which pedal to use to change which gears.  No chance.

That is all
The timing of this race was never a problem until all you hipsters discovered cyclcocross...
It's just the MOST AWESOME SPORT EVER INVENTED... nothing to see here, move along...

It's the gayest, too?

Wonder if that post will get 'moderated'?

I hate The Man.
If by "gay" you mean rainbow jerseys and pink bikes,  then yes... it is

The Man thinks you're cuter when you're not being so crotchety, Archie Bunker.

More to the point ,the timing was never a problem , until hipster started cyclo - cross in summer !
I don't get the whining.

Adam needs to wake up late after drinking the night before?  Most people just wake up early, have some coffee and get on with it.  Some of us even skip the sleep portion, drink a liter or two of water to make up for the alcohol, and race.

Crossers are pissed?  They're the ones with fitness that is peaking.  They should blame Gloucester for moving their race so early.

I think the date is a nice balance.  Most of the crossers will be good at attacks, but weak at sustain, and will start to tire after 40 minutes.  Adam will have his fat-burning engine going all day.  And the rest of us will be able to ride pretty hard the whole time.  All in all, a balanced competition.

JP's just gloating because this year the club champs doesn't conflict with interbike.
Cropped out of that photo is the little hill used to get all that air, which is approximately 4 inches under that rear wheel.

So. Fucking. Rad.
