Not sure how I actually feel about this , While it looks like a ton of fun for the kids , Not sure about Permits and the implications that has on "regular" park races .

I'm sure @mugwump absolutely loves it  ;)

Did anyone go to this?

The Bike Kill is a different kind of crazy.
I stumbled on this awesome documentary folks should check out about Italo-Canadian bike builder, Marinoni, trying to set hour record at 75. A cool piece of history and illustration of how bikes can define a life. He's an amazing character and the film is very moving if you love bikes (i.e., everyone here!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgmlcH3VUZg
A little bit of Michael van den Ham:

I did this race.

I think the winner, Jan Wiejak, had metal spikes in his tires.  And I think the UCI tire width limit of 33mm either was non-existent or didn't apply because it was nationals.

I was on a converted road bike with side pulls and 27mm Specialized Tri Cross 2 tires that just fit between the brakes and the frame.  My shoes didn't have toe spikes.  I might have lasted 25 minutes, crashed at least five times.  On the plus side, the snow was fresh, light, and fluffy.

I resolved to have: canti' brakes, have tubulars to race on, and shoes that had inserts for spikes.  Got all three:  A friend brazed on canti' studs onto a road frame for me, got 28mm Tufos that I put on an old set of tubulars, and a pair of Shimano MTB shoes.  So much better.  Back then 30mm tires for 'cross seemed big.

vos vos vos wout wout wout:

cervelitos for the win
Shoutout to cervelo for one upping specialized by dropping a $10k+ Cross bike that is electronic shifting compatible only.
JFC so dominant! ... also the pileup at 1:12!

Who is JFC?

In any case..., even the best:
I absolutely love rooting for WVA. I’m not sure how someone so dominant can seem like an underdog.

Is that the mountain you climbed?
No, this one is in the main Hawaii island and includes long portions of dirt, specially at the top. It is taller, higher.

I climbed Haleakala in Maui, while it was very very challenging, it is fully paved. It is the longest paved climb in the world.

that was amazing. I had to turn the sound off because the announcer was so annoying
I have learned to enjoy Anthony McCrossan (the commentator) quite a bit.

Have you all seen the Mark Cavendish DQS "documentary" from the Tour? This is one of the best feel good stories in the sport this year. It is hard not to root for him after several years where he was adrift. I still remember debating with mark Taylor whether his wins in Turkey meant he would be competitive at the Tour.

The videos are in three parts

The only thing missing (that I can think of) is 1) an explanation as to why they didn't contest the penultimate sprint stage and let the break go instead of try for win 35 and 2) getting to see that Cav's son's favorite rider is Wout (as was seen on social media) before getting bested by Wout on the Champs (is that mean of me?)
I enjoyed these Wahoo videos
